Sandy Feinstein

As Honors Coordinator at Penn State Berks, Sandy Feinstein teaches a variety of honors and non-honors courses, including Shakespeare, Arthurian literature, and writing. Her scholarship and creative writing reflect her varied teaching assignments and experiences: from the literature of the Middle Ages and Early Modern period in England and Europe, to pedagogy and poetry. Her scholarly articles range from examinations of alchemy and chemistry to editorial glosses, from visual and verbal representations of animals to beheading. The direction of her writing has been informed by the diverse places where she taught before arriving at Berks in fall 1999: in the west (UCLA), south (Sewanee), and midwest (Southwestern) as well as overseas: in Denmark and Syria while on Fulbright Awards (1989-90; 1998-99) and in Bulgaria as a visiting Associate Professor (1992-93).
